Other industries are far ahead of healthcare in using data and advanced analytics to drive processes, improve quality and costs. In healthcare, especially the necessary safeguards for patient privacy, and the fragmented landscapes have prevented the large-scale adoption so far. Now is the time to overcome legal and organizational hurdles in health data analytics to enable research and improve patient outcomes.
A contributory data model is required, combining the efforts of clinicians, researchers, providers and especially patients through their informed consent.

His professional career began at a leading international medical technology company, where he held management positions in marketing and sales, amongst others.
